Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa Staycation

We won the Scott's #Momazing Grand Prize! The Grand Prize consisted of 3 days 2 nights of Paranoma Suite, Chi Escape Spa vouchers for a couple and S$1,200.00 worth of dining vouchers. We felt both flattered and honoured to receive the prize.

A pose for holding on to the thick stack of vouchers.

This is the photo that we used to enter the contest. Every time I look at this photo, it always remind me of how much trust and faith Charlotte have in me. She can float in the water in such a relaxing way even though she can't swim at all.

Moving on to share more on the hotel, I must agree with my husband that it was our best staycation ever. I never knew that we have such a family oriented hotel in Singapore. Look at her happy face.

There was a complimentary bottle of red wine accompanied by a bowl of fresh fruits, Nespresso, mini bar (replenished daily) and some kuehs. I almost could not snap a photo as she is reaching out fast to her favourite fruits, bananas and grapes.

The big living room, huge balcony and outdoor Jacuzzi with shelter which oversees the sea just made me went "wow wow wow". As I turned to look at the bedroom, I noticed how thoughtful this hotel is, there are mineral water that is placed conveniently just beside the bed. There is also a I-Phone docking station which I spent my next few days charging my phone.

Look at how lavish the toilet is. The varieties of toiletries went beyond my expectation. From the L'occataine products to Loofa to hairband which we don't usually find it in other hotels.

My girl's favourite activity is definitely the water slide. She went non stop with the water slide until we decided to call it a day.

There is also a indoor playground that is catered for toddlers. However, there must an adult accompanying the toddler.

Dinner time were spent at the Silver Shell CafĂ©. Charlotte loves roaming around the Kid's Zone buffet section to help herself with the food that she likes. She spent some time dancing to the music when the live band came to the section where we were sitting at.

What I love most in this restaurants is the endless supply of seafood; especially the fresh oysters! I had been to many hotels' buffet which always run out of fresh oysters and made me walk a few times but not able to find any left. The Indian food is a "must try" here. I gave two thumbs up for the soft and fluffy rice and naan  paired with their delicious masala prawns.

My husband and I went for the Chi Escape Spa. We had a great time with the massage, steam bath and facial. We had no chance to take a photo of the relaxing room for treatment as we had kept our handphone locked in the safe that was provided. The changing room for Jacuzzi, steam bath and shower were separated by genders. After the treatment, I went to dip in the Jacuzzi, helped myself with some water and went for a quick shower. These were not chargeable in our bill.

We were thankful that we were able to spend our bonding time as a family together in Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa Staycation. The excellent services made our trip a really memorable one.

It was hard for Charlotte to bid good bye to Rasa Sentosa. We had to tell her to say "See you again" before we left the Rasa Sentosa.

Introduction

First of all, I would like to thank my loving husband for encouraging me to begin composing my very first post for this humble blog. Most of us have benefited from some blogs or articles which personally I do too. I hope that my blog will be helpful to other parents in some ways.

I always believe that every child is unique in their own way. One solution fits all? Nah. It is children that we are talking about here. One moment they look like a little angel. The next moment they might behave like they are really really drunk. Parenting is based on gut feeling, sometimes we may be wrong and sometimes we may be right. We learn from the journey.

My  little princess's name is Charlotte and our journey started since 2013. She learns things that she is interested fast (does that ring a bell to your child at home?).

Let me share some of her milestones for the first year with you. I am a happy mother as I was able to witness most of her "First" moments.

2.5 months - Her first flip during a gathering for August Mummies 2013.

4.0 months - First shave and first swimming.

4.5 months - Her first taste of solid food food. Well, her next solid was about 6 months old as we thought she was not ready and breast milk is nutritious enough.

5.0 months - She had her first crawl to chase after a toy her grandmother bought her.

6.0 months - Stood on the baby cot with determination.

6.5 months - Sitting on her own for the first time. Look at that grin on her face.

7.5 months - Walked with support and realized it was great fun.

10.5 months - She had her first step cautiously.

In this blog, I am going to share more about my own experiences with cooking, baking travelling, parenting, handicrafts, ideas and more.
